We help to look after our local environment
- We check planning applications which affect Highfield and represent Highfield’s interests when planning decisions are taken. More details
- We support local campaigns to protect our environment, for example with Recycling and Sustainability
- We work with local authorities to reduce the impact of through traffic in Highfield. More details
- We take part in the annual OxClean Litterpick and individuals undertake additional litterpicks to keep our streets looking tidy.
We represent residents’ interests:
- By working with our local City and County Councillors, and our Member of Parliament on issues affecting local people and attend local City Council meetings.
- By representing Highfield at meetings with the hospitals, Oxford Brookes University, and other residents’ associations and community groups.
- Two HRA members attend the regular Brookes Community Liaison Group to represent HRA interests
We keep residents in touch
- By delivering twice-yearly newsletters to Highfield households and e-mailing notices to Members
- Circulating information about forthcoming HRA events etc. to members by email
- By maintaining the community noticeboard on All Saints’ Road to update residents about social and other events in Headington.
